Internships – Media design
At my school, every student is required to complete eight weeks of internships during the summer break until after the fourth year. These internships are designed to help us refine our skills and gain practical experience for our future careers. It is mandatory that at least four of these weeks be completed in a media design-related company or department.
Rosenbauer International AG
My first internship took place after my second year of school. Through a family friend, I had the opportunity to intern at Rosenbauer, where my application was accepted. During my four weeks there, I assisted the company’s photographer, Ben, with photoshoots and post-production work. This experience significantly enhanced my skills in efficient photo editing, and I also gained valuable insights into workplace communication and professional interactions with colleagues and supervisors. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Orlean Austria GmbH – Turmöl
After completing third grade, I decided to pursue another opportunity in a creative field and was accepted for an internship at Turmöl in Wels. Although my previous internship was also in the media design department, this experience was entirely new. I worked on a variety of online tasks but also gained insight into the extensive offline work involved, such as organizing materials and managing inventory. Additionally, I had significantly more interaction with customers through emails and phone calls. While these four weeks were sometimes challenging, they provided me with invaluable knowledge and experience. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have worked there.
Orlean Austria GmbH – Turmöl
After completing fourth grade, I was excited to return for another internship at Turmöl in Wels. Some of my tasks were similar to last year, which felt familiar, but this time I also got to take on completely new and exciting projects. I designed posters—including a huge wall poster that we hung up in the office—packed welcome packages, and even took photos at a town hall meeting. One of the biggest changes was the move to a brand-new office. It was incredibly spacious and modern, and the atmosphere there was amazing. What made it even better was how warmly I was welcomed back—many colleagues recognized me from last year, and the new team members were all so unbelievably kind and fun to work with. These four weeks were not only creative and inspiring but also full of laughter and great moments. I truly loved being part of the team again and am very grateful for this unforgettable experience.
